Traveling by Car to Inn at The Forks

From South (Provincial 74, City 42)
Drive north on Highway 42 until York Avenue (downtown). Turn right on York Avenue and cross Main Street to enter The Forks. Turn right on Waterfront Drive and left on Forks Market Road.

From North (Provincial 8)
Take eastbound Perimeter Highway (Provincial 101) to Main Street (City 52). Turn south on Main Street. Turn left on York Avenue (past downtown) to enter The Forks. Turn right on Waterfront Drive and left on Forks Market Road.

From East (Highway #1 Trans Canada Hwy)
Trans Canada Highway turns into Fermor Avenue upon entering Winnipeg. Turn right on St. Mary’s Road. Turn right on York Avenue (just before downtown) to enter The Forks. Turn right on Waterfront Drive, left on Forks Market Road.

From West (Highway #1 Trans Canada Hwy)
Trans Canada Highway turns into Portage Avenue. Turn right on Main Street (downtown). Turn left on York Avenue (3 blocks) to enter The Forks. Turn right on Waterfront Drive and left on Forks Market Road.

From Winnipeg International Airport (YWG)
Take Wellington Avenue East exit from airport. Turn right on King Edward (Route 90 South). Take Portage Avenue East exit to downtown. Turn right on Main Street (downtown). Turn left on York Avenue (3 blocks) to enter The Forks. Turn right on Waterfront Drive and left on Forks Market Road.

Parking for overnight guests is available in the adjacent parkade for a nominal fee. Valet service is also available.

For our guests’ convenience, special parking arrangements have been made to accommodate overnight registered guests and guests attending meetings, banquets and weddings.

The Forks Parking & Transportation
The Forks conducts continual parking studies and surveys to effectively manage parking, and has significantly reorganized parking availability. Studies report a very high level of public satisfaction with available parking.

Parking has expanded on site to accommodate over 1800 vehicles.  There are 250 new grade parking spots and 285 parkade new parking spots in the immediate proximity of the main buildings.

The Forks features new signage directing visitor parking and added people movers for peak periods. The Forks is also serviced by the free Downtown Flyer bus service and Splash Dash water taxi. Future enhancements to improve guest experiences are also in the planning stages.
